It’s Global Entrepreneurship Week, and we at Royal Holloway Entrepreneurs have got loads of events, workshops and talks planned for you!

Global Entrepreneurship Week, is a celebration of entrepreneurial flair, innovation, expertise and accomplishment. Supported by Prime Minister Gordon Brown and US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton, the week features a series of events to inspire and educate all members of our communities, and Royal Holloway Entrepreneurs wouldn’t want you to feel left out.

2. Do It! Sales and negotiations
Tuesday, 6pm in WIN 0-02 (Register at Careers Service)
http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=160700676727

Whether you want to start a new business, achieve a high salary or just get what you want in life (whilst making sure other people are happy), you will need to be able to sell yourself or your product in an attractive, effective manner. This workshop teaches you the critical sales and negotiation skills required to achieve this using the ‘MarketPlace’ game.

Based on a real-life online restaurant reservation business, MarketPlace aims to provide a new and exciting way of teaching entrepreneurial skills at all levels. The game focuses on key marketing concepts: features, benefits, needs and objectives.

Participants are divided in 2 groups. One group are the ‘sellers’; and the other group are the ‘purchasers’. The sellers then make their pitch, elicit needs and encounter objections from the purchasers. The two teams then swap roles and experience the opposite side of the transaction. The game takes about an hour to play.

To secure your place, please book in the Careers Centre.

3. Do It! Team working and start-up planning
