A short description of yourself:
Andrew works across Government, Industry and Academia on a range of technology and strategy issues. Over the years he has led HMG’s Cyber Crime Task Force, co-ordinated Whitehall’s defence, security, and transport technology strategy requirements, and engaged in the transformation of how Government supports Business within the UK. This has included the formation of the Technology Strategy Board, and DTI’s (now BIS) Business Support mechanisms, working with businesses of all sizes from micro to FTSE 100, advising on their business strategy.

Whilst having worked in most industry sectors, Andrew’s primary area of business interest is currently in cyber security and fraud, and he is a regular speaker on future threats in this area and safeguards against them. In addition to his first degree he holds Masters in Defence & Security Analysis (MA, Lancaster) and Information Security (MSc, Royal Holloway).
I am keen to support students from the college take forward their innovative ideas, and have helped numerous recent students from here and other institutions on an ad hoc basis over recent years. Hopefully the mentoring programme will help nurture the next generation of successful UK entrepreneurs.
